Sometimes I even measure an existing frame with a ruler before ordering anything new. In the end it is all about finding what matches your own habits and lifestyle. Even big and famous brands sometimes send generic replies that are not very helpful. Online shops that show detailed measurements and care instructions usually get my attention. It saves a lot of trial and error for everyone else.

If anyone is interested in real user experiences, I sometimes write short notes about the shops I test.

It makes it easier to compare with an old pair of glasses that already fits well. I also started paying attention to how websites display sizing charts for clothing. If a deal looks too good to be true, it usually has some kind of catch. I like when they mention whether the fabric has stretch or not, that detail matters a lot. A product that still looks good after a few months is more impressive than something only good on arrival.

Maybe this is useful for someone.
